When my partner approached me with the concept of hypnobirthing I acknowledged my ignorance on the topic and biases of only having hospital births with Doctors present. Needless to say I was highly skeptical of the process and benefits. After an initial session with Ashley, I quickly became less resistant to the overall process due to her extensive healthcare and nursing experience and pedigree, her ability to teach hypnobirthing concepts to me (similar to a 5 year old:), and her welcoming personality. She allowed me to challenge and ask questions. She spent extra time on certain concepts when she could see I wasn’t fully onboard or understanding them. I am a Senior Exec for a Management Consultant firm and trained to have deep dive discussions to fully understand issues and gaps…poke holes in things and analyze them. Ashley knows her stuff and is passionate and confident in her abilities. As a result, I knew we had made a great decision to take the hypnobirthing route, but we made an even better decision in choosing her as our educator. She is now, forever a part of our family and has been a true friend. Our son arrived on 7/13 and the delivery was perfection.
