When I arrived at the hospital I was already 9cm dilated (I had been practicing my breathing at home for 6 hours beforehand) and gave birth within 2 hours. All the nursing staff were amazed at how calm and in my zone I was and that I didn’t take any form of pain relief.
The course educated me as to what happens the body during labour, how natural everything is and how easy it can be if you do not allow fear to take hold of your mind and you stay connected to your body and your breath. I think all mums to be should gift themselves this information and inspiration.
