Our comprehensive doula training program prepares birth professionals to confidently support families in every birth setting and circumstance. This training provides a strong foundation in emotional, physical, and informational support throughout pregnancy, labor, birth, and the immediate postpartum period.
Participants will learn how to effectively serve clients in hospital, birth center, and home birth environments, while developing the adaptability and communication skills necessary to collaborate respectfully with families and healthcare providers alike. The curriculum explores physiologic birth, medical interventions, trauma-informed care, comfort measures, labor support techniques, partner support, cultural sensitivity, advocacy, and professional ethics.
This training emphasizes the importance of creating calm, safe, and empowering experiences for birthing families regardless of how birth unfolds. Students will gain practical tools to support both physiologic and medically complex births, including inductions, cesarean births, VBACs, epidurals, and high-risk situations.
In addition to hands-on labor support skills, participants will develop confidence in client communication, prenatal preparation, postpartum support, and building a sustainable doula practice. Through experiential learning, discussion, and mentorship, doulas will leave prepared to provide compassionate, evidence-informed care in diverse communities and birth settings.
Whether supporting an unmedicated home birth, a planned cesarean, or a highly medicalized hospital experience, graduates of this program will be equipped to meet families where they are — with professionalism, empathy, and skill.
